According to Wunderground.com, today is both an Ozone Action Day and a Particulate Matter Action Day.

Today is classified as "Unhealthy." According to the definition, "People with respiratory or heart disease, the elderly, and children should avoid prolonged exertion; everyone else should limit prolonged exertion."

Interestingly, one of the activities recommended for Ozone Action Day is "Choose a cleaner commute -- share a ride to work or use public transportation. Bicycle or walk to errands when possible."

The tension between these two is funny in that way that it makes me chuckle a little bit but only just before I sigh heavily and want to cry a little.
